This scholarship is given on the basis of academic ranking for each department and year.
Assuming that the student took at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and achieved 3.0 or higher of grade point average without any failure in examinations:
(1) Class I ------ Full tuition scholarship
(2) Class II ------ Half tuition scholarship
(3) Class III ------ One-third tuition scholarship

B.
Academic ranking should be determined in the order named as follows: one with higher grade point average or score average; one with higher cumulative grade point aggregate; one with the larger number of applied courses; one with higher applied credits in primary major; one with higher grade point average for primary major; one with higher score average in primary major; and, one with better achievement in the immediately previous semester.

C.
Academic ranking should be determined in the order named as follows: one with higher grade point average or score average; one with higher cumulative grade point aggregate; one with the larger number of applied courses; one with higher applied credits in primary major; one with higher grade point average for primary major; one with higher score average in primary major; and, one with better achievement in the immediately previous semester.

Of national merit honorees and their children as defined by the Act on Honorable Treatment for Honorees, educational protection recipients can benefit from this scholarship.

(1) For national merit honorees ------ Exemption of all admission and tuition fees for eight semesters from the first semester of freshman status

(2) For their children ---- Exemption of all admission and tuition fees for the semesters specified as an exemption period by the Ministry of Patriots & Veterans Affairs (the half paid from the National Treasury) Provided that anyone who has remitted his or her admission fee should be excluded from the beneficiary of admission fee exemption.

This scholarship is intended to encourage differently abled students to study and learn.
(1) Differently abled students and their parents (with their certified welfare cards)

Awarded to the recipients of livehood protection benefits and their children. Limited to those who have taken at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and whose grade point average is equivalent to 2.50 or higher in academic achievement.

If two or more of family members are simultaneously enrolled in our university, this scholarship is given.

Awarded to regular public servants working in the national government or local autonomous entities, and military personnel or civilians attached to the military who are admitted into the university through ordinary entrance examination.

Award to military, naval and air-force servicemen (including civilians attached to the military) whose education have been committed in accordance with the alliance agreement made between the military and the university. Provided that they should take at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and at the same time, earn 2.50 or higher of grade point average in terms of their academic achievements.

Given to those who have worked in the university and any other organizations with which the university have concluded a mutual cooperation agreement.

For the graduates from Daegu University (undergraduate/graduate schools), and their spouses and children

A. The candidate recipients and amount of this scholarship are recommended by each department and/or division. The recipients should be limited to those who have taken at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and at the same time, have earned 2.50 or higher of grade point average in terms of academic achievement. In addition to that, students corresponding to any of the items listed below should be targeted.
  (1) Who has either won a prize from or been specially acknowledged regarding his or her merits by any
     external organization;
(2) Who has shown excellent academic achievements and been well-conducted;
(3) Who has contributed significantly to development and honor of the university;
(4) Who has done a praiseworthy deed;
(5) Who is suffering from poor livelihood; and,
(6) To whom the necessity to give the scholarship is recognized by the President

B. Each department should submit written recommendations for respective individual students.

Awarded to those to whom the necessity to give the scholarship is specially recognized and recommended by the President.

A. For students who have participated actively in student service activities as executive staff of students' union and have contributed significantly to development of the university (given for two semesters)

B. The range of candidates is limited to those taking at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and earning 2.50 or higher of grade point average in academic achievement. However, the cases excluded from the beneficiary of this scholarship pursuant to Article 10 of the Scholarship Regulations should be exceptional.

C. Any student selected as the recipient of this scholarship should obtain a recommendation from the Dean and apply for it in compliance with Article 3 of the Enforcement Ordinance of the relevant Regulations.

This scholarship is given to our alumni (graduates) or their spouses/offsprings with the intention of stimulating their learning motivation, and the exemption of their admission fees are allowed only for the first semester of entrance year. In addition, anyone who has received a family scholarship during his or her college days cannot benefit from this scholarship until graduation, except for the student who has received just a single family scholarship since the first semester of school year 2007.

This scholarship is awarded to the faculty and staff belonging to YeongGwang School Corporation and its affiliated organizations or their spouses/offsprings who correspond to any of the following cases. The recipients should be those taking at least 15 credits in the immediately previous semester and earning 2.50 or higher of grade point average in academic achievement.
- A person who has contributed to YeongGwang School Corporation or the university, or his/her spouse or lineal descendents;

- The faculty or staff who have served the said corporation or its affiliated organization, or their spouses or lineal descendents;

- Except for non-regular or part-time employees and their spouses and children; and

- Even if the faulty or staff died or retired under the age limit or for a similar reason in the year after admission, this scholarship is applicable.

Given to foreign students admitted to the university through alien examination, who have taken at least 12 credit units in the immediately previous semester and earned 2.0 or higher of grade point average. However, the criteria for scholarship payment may depend on the terms and conditions of the international exchange agreement.

Awarded to the patients with any of the three major diseases (i.e., cancer, brain disorder or cardiac disorder) listed by the National Health Insurance Corporation of S. Korea, provided that such cases have been confirmatively diagnosed as cancer within the most recent five years or as brain disorder or cardiac disorder with the last one year.
